Excellence in Technical Education
It was in 1993 E.C. that Alage ATVET College started its activity as a College. It was one of the 25 Colleges established then at national level. Alage ATVET College is the largest of all its kind, with the capacity of 6000 students’ on-campus.
As per the ATVET program, the mandate of the College is to receive twelve grade school leavers and provide them with training that would enable them to serve as teachers and development agents in the FTCs and also develop into self-employed entrepreneurs.
For the practice-oriented theoretical training the students wait in the campus for two consecutive years and then they are apprenticed to different agricultural sector enterprises.
